The Mi Mix Alpha is turning a lot of heads, with a futuristic display that wraps around the edges, digging deep into the back.

It was only this time last year that bezel-less phones were coming of age, and the world was still in awe of the wonders of what technology could do. We were drooling over the vast amount of screen to body ratio, which we assumed as a futuristic smartphone design.

Enter Xiaomi (Mi), a company known for making some of the best budget phones out there, hitting out on the best flagships with its newest phone, “Mi Mix Alpha.” This phone takes a league of its own, with a display that extends over both sides into the back of the device.

Add to that a 512 GB storage space, and you don’t have to worry about your videos and the space they take for, possibly, the next five years. With a fantastic camera, just by sheer numbers, and a high-speed processor, the Mi Mix Alpha has undoubtedly pushed the bar for other phones out there, as a futuristic smartphone. For all the selfie lovers, you can see yourself on the backscreen of the phone since there is no front-facing camera on this phone.

However, this should not be an issue considering the quality of the rear camera, which is a whopping 108 megapixels on the count. With a camera this good, the only thing left is to take it out and start snapping. The only thing that you shutterbugs and techies have to take care of is the phone since an all-screen display means more susceptible to getting cracks and fractures in the screen in the event of a fall.

The only fault some may see in the phone is Mi’s heavy android skin. However, based on all the videos we’ve seen, the device seems smooth and responsive.
With features so heavenly, the cost of the Mi Mix Alpha in India is to be Priced at Rs 199,990.
Xiaomi’s brand manager confirmed that the company will not be making an Mi Mix 4, and that the Mi Mix Alpha is the successor in the “Mix” series.
